Under the surface of Znojmo - literally
Znojmo, a gem of a wine town in Southern Moravia, has one of the best examples of a Czech speciality. No, not beer or wine this time, but tunnels: you can take a tour of the vast labyrinth deep down under the market square.
Once used for storage - and occasionally refuge in wartime - the underground network fell out of use, but has been renovated as an attraction you can explore. It's great fun, recommended for an easy adventure.
There are various options, from an easy stroll to a narrow, stooping, cave-like experience in the old water conduits. There's a wire frame at the ticket office, like one of those baggage gauges at an airport check-in - except it's for people, not cases. It determines if you're small enough to fit into the tunnels on a particular tour.
Znojmo is, nevertheless, a great place for wine and beer too. There are many local vineyards, one of my favourites being the excellent family-run Špalek Winery on the edge of town. You can visit cellars and vaults here too, though ones definitely used for wine storage rather than tourist entertainment.
There's a good craft brewing scene here too, thanks to the likes of the superb Old Cock Brewery. Their taproom is above ground, which is probably just as well. You wouldn't want to be finding your way out of a subterranean maze after a couple of their excellent IPAs...
